CURRENTLY only minimal PART TIME help is required so I can get out to do some work and errands. However I will be looking for a FULL-time LIVE IN or OUT come end of Feb/March 2015 when I return to work full time at the start of April. I am willing to do a sponsorship for the right person. If this could be the same person that would be fantastic or if you are interested in just the current part-time I am happy to consider this as well. When the help is needed right now can be flexible to the care providers other commitments as well since I have some flexibility to build around you. When I return to work it will be 3 (occasionally 4) days a week 6:45am-530pm. If it is a 3 day week then one day 9am-4pm while I am off work to help with light cleaning. Main responsibilities include: playing with infant in home, reading to infant, taking infant to local community league indoor playground for socialization during winter month/park in summer, meals for infant if during meal times. Other duties include: light house work, some meal prep, and occasional laundry. Preference to someone with 2+ years experience with this age of child, CPR, first aid. You will oversee the work schedules, performance & personnel management, training & development, and provide mentoring, guidance, & direction to all dining services staff. Reporting to the Dining Services Manager and the Community Resident Manager, and with their guidance & cooperation, you are also responsible for maintaining a visible presence with the residence, communication, and resolving any dining services or food quality feedback. All issues of a serious nature must be reported and escalated to the appropriate administrative department. Active participation and demonstrated leadership in the development, communication, and promotion of the Health & Safety Program is crucial in your position. Whenever required or necessary, you may be asked to perform certain duties that typically fall within the Community Resident Assistant Manager and the Community Resident Manager’s scope of responsibilities. Your regular tasks also include weekly & monthly inventory and menu review, budgeting, ordering of all food & non-food supplies, and inventory control of all utensils & small-wares, and other duties as assigned. Your flexibility to work overtime and provide additional coverage when required is essential. Your position requires site-to-site travel and you must be licensed, insured, and have access to a personal vehicle during work hours. Requirements • Ability to read, write, communicate, & comprehend English. • Professional Culinary Certification or Diploma is preferred. • Progressive supervisory and management experience in catering, restaurant, institutions or equivalent. • Ability to organize, problem solve, and supervise other support staff, when necessary. • Demonstrate a leadership, mentorship, and positive attitude towards team members, with a focus on continuous improvements in the department. • Maintain a positive rapport with community residents and guests. • Proven time management, organization, prioritization, and stress management skills. • Technical abilities in utilizing various electronics and computer applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer. • Possess a high standard of hygiene and presentable personal appearance. • Completion of First Aid, WHMIS and Food Handling courses, or willingness to do so. • Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined, including heavy object lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing for long periods of time, repetitive food preparation work, withstand temperature changes, bending, and stretching on a regular basis.
